  • Install the virtual manager for qemu.

$ sudo apt install virt-manager
  • Go to the “openwrt” directory and run the following command to launch the virtual manager.

$ qemu-system-aarch64 -m 512 -nographic -cpu cortex-a72 -smp 1 -M virt -kernel ~/openwrt/bin/targets/armvirt/64/openwrt-21.02.2-armvirt-64-Image-initramfs -bios /usr/share/qemu-efi-aarch64/QEMU_EFI.fd
  • Once the virtual manager is launched wait for the prompt to display.
